Opt-outs

People can always stop watching. Whether the app adds them back depends on whether the rule is Required.

Normal rules (opt-out allowed)

Anyone can stop watching a page or space the usual way. The app never adds that watch back. It spots the change at its weekly check and lists the person then.

You can see who stopped watching on each rule, under Won’t be added back. Watches you remove with Undo show there too.

Required rules

Turn on Required for pages everyone must follow, like policies. If someone stops watching, the app starts them watching again at its weekly check.

Tell people a rule is required before you turn it on. Being re-added after unwatching feels like a bug if nobody warned them.

Watches people set up themselves

The app never removes a watch someone set up before the rule. There's one case it can't tell apart — see the FAQ.
