Why am I watching this?
For everyone in your company: why you're getting Confluence emails about these pages, and how to stop.
What's going on
Your Confluence admins set up group watches. Everyone in your team now follows the pages that matter to it. When those pages change, Confluence emails you, the same as if you had pressed Watch yourself.
When you join a team, you start following its pages. When you leave, you stop.
How to stop watching
- Open the page (or the space).
- Click the Watch (eye) button.
- Turn watching off.
That's it. You won't be added back, unless the page is marked required by your admins (for example, company policies). Ask your admin if you're not sure.
Too much email?
You can also change how Confluence emails you in your own Confluence settings, under notifications. Or ask your admin whether a whole-space rule could be narrowed to the pages you need.
A small catch
If you watched a page yourself and your team's rule covers it, Confluence keeps just one watch. If you later leave the team, that watch is removed. Press Watch again to keep it.
Who can see this?
You only get watches on pages you can already see. The app doesn't change who can read anything.
